Hailing from Austria, and now residing in New York City, Elisabeth Lohninger's distinctive, alto
jazz sound pays homage to the ephemeral nature of love as well as the mystery of waking up each day - life at
its core. Her seven successful albums, from her debut project in 1998, Austrian LiedGood to her 2010 release,
"Songs Of Love And Destruction" weave the influences of EST, Bobby McFerrin, Kate McGarry, Sting and Joni Mitchell
into an original tapestry of word and music, and the success of her standout singles, like "Mirage", are notable.
Growing up in a small Austrian mountain village, Elisabeth started singing in school and church choirs.
At the age of six, she joined her two sisters in what would become a nationally renowned vocal group
specializing in the songs of her homeland. But Jazz was her calling. Today she showcases in some
of the best jazz clubs of New York and tours extensively in Europe. Elisabeth's songs have also been
on television shows, such as The Young and The Restless and One Life To Live, and her 2003 electronica
album 'IF' received a plethora of critical and commercial acclaim. Collaborating with some of the best jazz musicians
in New York, she performs in four languages that include German,
English, French and Spanish. With her upcoming release "Songs Of Love And Destruction" Elisabeth is preparing
a new compilation that spans her eclectic and expansive work. Ultimately, Elisabeth Lohninger's future promises
to expand the artistry of Jazz.

Elisabeth wuchs in einem kleinen österreichischen Dorf auf und begann in Schul- und Kirchenchören
zu singen. Um Alter von sechs Jahren begann sie mit ihren zwei Schwestern öffentlich Volkslieder zu singen,
eine erfolgreiche Gruppierung, die über 20 Jahre hinweg Teil der österreichischen Volksmusik
Szene war. Aber der Jazz war ihre Leidenschaft. Heute tritt sie in einigen der besten
Jazzclubs in New York auf und tourt häufig und international. Elisabeth´s Lieder haben ihren Weg
in amerikanische Fernsehshows gefunden, wie zum Beispiel "The Young And The Restless" und "One Life To Live",

Krome pravidelního vystupování v newyorkských hudebních klubech jako jsou The Jazz Standard, Sweet Rhythm, SOBs, The Knitting
Factory a The 55 Bar a The Bitter End navštevvuje castu I Evropu v rámci svého koncertního turné.
Evropský a americký tisk ji samotnou oznacuje jako "oslnivou" a její hudbu jako "nádherne emotivní", "inspirující" a "dokonalou".
Elisabeth zacala svoji kariéru už jako šestiletá spolu se svými sestrami zpíváním rakouských folkových písní. Vedená svou hudební
zvedavostí se odvážila pustit I do dalších stylu a vystudovala klasickou hudbu a jazz.
V roce 1994 se Elisabeth Lohninger prestehovala do New Yorku City a spojila se s pianistou Walterem Fischbacherem, se kterým
založila duo "Perfect Roommates". Z této spolupráce vzniklo CD "Austrian LiedGood" a koncertní turné po amerických a evropských
jazzových festivalech (Texaco Jazz Festival, Chopin & Friends Festival/NYC, Jazz Festival Seeon/Nemecko). Její pop-soulové album
"Alien Lovers", vydané v roce 2000 pod prezdívkou Tera je další ukázkou její stylistické univerzálnosti.
V roce 2003 Elisabeth napsala a produkovala svojí první hudbu ke krátkému filmu Heleny Smith "I'm Thursdays", za toto dílo
získala cenu the Wasserman Craft Award for Original Score na festivalu the First Run Film
Festival v New Yorku. Také spolupracovala na písních pro televizní show "The Precinct", "Alias" a "One Life to Live". Od roku
2002 Elisabeth Lohninger ucí na prestižní New School Jazz Department v New York. Její CD z roku 2004 "Beneath Your Surface"
(Lofish Music) získalo spousty hvezdných recenzí a melo za následek mnoho koncertu v Evrope a v jednech z tech nejlepších
newyorkských jazz klubu The Jazz Standard and Sweet Rhythm. Na jejím úplne novém CD "The Only Way Out Is Up" spojila styly jako je
jazz, pop a drum&bass, aby vytvorila náladu, která je vzrušující, emocionálne nabitá a absolutne autentická.
